So went with Adrenaline Dive Company for one Blue water/shark dive and one dive on the A.C.E. off Dana point (not the ACE I).
As far as I know ADC is the only other commercial dive boat that dives that wreck other than the Riviera.
Trip started out with a BANG when we saw three humpback whales traveling north. They shocked everyone when one decided to breach three times. We hung around hoping for more but the show was over so we moved on.
After chumming for two and a half hours we only saw one shark which once on our chum slick swam the wrong way to everyones dismay. So we dawned our gear and swam around in 300ft deep water for a bit, the current was ripping so even at 20ft deep we were only in for 28 minutes.
temp: 61
vis: 40ft
location: 14 mile bank
Did a second dive at the ACE wreck in Dana Point. We had some of the bluest water I have ever seen above the ACE. At 60 feet a green hazy mess took over and vis dropped to 15 milky feet. The most unfortunate part of the dive was finding an adult sea lion who got tangled and drown in the ACE nets.
