With the strong offshore wind we were hoping for great conditions off the shores of south Laguna. As you may have heard, this whole area will be closed to the take of any game as of Jan 1, 12, so we are trying to kill as many bugs as we can before the closures. There was 1-3' surf, mild offshore wind, 57 degree water temp, 45 degree air temp, the water felt warm compared to the air temp. We dived the Montage in laguna and there were 5 other divers out, likely getting their last bugs here as well. Water vis was 15-30' with a little surge, very nice conditions. We did well, I got 2 legals, Johnny got 5 and Mark had 5 and Rick had the camera out and the go pro on his forehead, cant wait to see his footage and images. Next week will likely be our last bug dive from the shores of Laguna, a truely sad day.
