Here's a solution for you Frank;

Go to Ralphs or Vons or Albertsons, etc. Drop about a buck on a
bar of plain Ivory soap.

Holding the bar like it was a large pencil eraser, rub the bar
of soap on the zipper teeth. Since this sort of lubrication is
not wax or oil based, it's won't let sand and other tiny debris
stick to it and subsequently damage the brass teeth of that very expensive zipper.

Since it's a soap, it will usually break down after the second
dive of the day and rinse almost completely away, so best to
use it sparingly before every zip-up to keep it smooth. After 12 years of dry-suit diving, I have never had a zipper fail or require replacing... but knowing how much of a wreck mole you
are your milage may vary.
