I did the same trip on the Monterrey Express. The Cypress Sea was pretty close to us so I think they would be comparable. This was in late April. The water was 46 degrees with some current and surge. The boats go out around the point and then see where they can go given the conditions. In our case we ended up on the Pinnacles outside of Carmel Bay just north of Pt. Lobos. The diving was great. A really different eco system to look at.
