Vis about 15' or so with some particulate in the water, slightly surgy (but not too bad), water temp 66º in the shallows, 63º in the canyon. But all the life . . . !!!!!

Tons of Thornbacks, numerous itty-bitty baby Octopi, Round Stingrays, lots of Scorpionfish, Sarcastic Fringeheads, and not one but TWO Snake Eels. I've never seen these before in CA waters and I don't think they were Conger Eeels because the nose was rough, not round. Very cool.

Of course, I didn't bring my camera so I can't exactly prove any of this . . .
