I second that. The idea that DIR and fun are mutually exlusive ( at least in the water, not on the internet) is patently ridiculous. While I don't always practice strict DIR protocols, I can tell you that incorporating DIR practices, equipment and attidudes have done wonders for my comfort, safety, and skill levels. I'm a better diver and photographer for it. And I'm grateful for the DIR divers (Michael included) who took the time to teach me the basics.

So folks, can we please move on? Phil, Michael - get a room. Frank - leave a piece of brass for the rest of us. And Elaine - well........just keep taking photos and posting trip reports, I never get tired of reading those.........;-)
