There's about five pounds of buoyancy change with a single. Five
pounds of buoyancy rolling around in your suit is pretty unstable,
especially if you are photographer who needs to go head down for
an extended period of time waiting for the Goby to stick his head
back out of the hole in the bottom.

I used to be a "just the suit" guy. Using both is better.
If you get your weight right, the BC is empty and the end of the
dive and you don't have to mess with it on the ascent.
