When I worked at Hughes many years ago someone knocked over a CO2 (approximatley 2200 psi) when I was not there. However I saw the results the following day. When the tank fell the valve broke. The peice that broke off went completely through one wall about 15 feet from the tank and almost made it through a secomnd wall another 12 feet beyond the first. Luckily no one was injured when it happened, but it was amazing to behold.
The tank itself did not suffer any damage.
When I worked there I had one CO2 tank that has it's first hydro in 1896, which meant it had been in service for 97 years and still worked great.
