Looks like the ocean finally layed down.

I attempted to go out to the Arena Rock Sunday and got chased back in by 10 foot NW swells combined with a smaller south swell.
The ocean was real sloshy with those swell collision splash ups everywhere.
Not to mention the fog was laying on the water and the top side vis was only about 50 feet.
I spun it around and went straight back in. Kind of a waste considering a 3 1/2 hour drive to Pt. Arena and $20 for them to hoist me in and right back out plus a whole tank of gas at $2.65 a gallon.
We dove Gerstle instead on the way back down the coast and it was very nice there. I burned up a set of doubles and we got some nice fish. There where a couple open water classes in session and I found out that one of them was from Sport Chalet. A SC in Northern California? Now that's scary!

Today I had to go out to Bodega and I went out to the head to see what it looked like. Nice flat calm and a very high marine layer with vis all the way to the horizon. Go figure.
Maybe I'll sneak out there and dive the breakwall or Doran and see if the flatties are in yet.
