Divers diving on air deeper than 65 ft;
This is the fundamental problem.

The best mix for 70 ft to 100 ft is EANx. Take your pick of which one. Any one of them is better than air. Especially if you want to keep diving all day long.

The computers try to cope with the bad mix decisions for the given depth with a complex algorithm, which is some scientist's voodoo model for bubble formation and growth.

Plan your depth, then plan your best mix, then choose your tank size, then bring your depth gauge and your SPG and leave your computer at home. And then you don't need to average depths in your head either. Just enjoy your diving.
