I had over 200 dives on a SeaQuest Balance and loved it - thought it was the best and only. My wife replaced her Zeagle (which I personally hate) with a Dive-Rite Transpac. I was so impressed that I bought a TransPac for myself and re-discovered lowered lead weighting! I would not switch. I also dove with a Halcyon hard pack - it was good, but I prefer the Dive-Rite. Its rugged, simple, streamlined, diver-tailorable. I'll bet it will be the BC you'll choose after a lot more dives...so why not rent one and see if you like it?

Again, make sure the shop is a store run by active divers - you may pay a few bucks more, but you'll save big bucks in the long run and you'll enjoy your sport more.
