Sometimes wads of fishing line do happen.
Where I dive there are fisherman that go there as well and do not understand the bottom typography and inevitably get snagged and loose lots of line.
When the visibility is low and the surge is up even the very best of divers can get intangled.
Fishing line does not deter me, I just deal with it.
With your idea of inflating the BC to remove it is fine for the BC to remain neutral. My point was that if you do not have weight on yourself how would you offset the buoyancy of your siut?
