About the only thing that dive tables are used for anymore is in scuba classes.

In the real world, everybody is either using a dive computer [for recreational NDL diving] or decompression software [for technical deco diving].

The dive tables are dinosaur bones. They're not even dinosaurs anymore. They're too old to be called even that.

This problem of the obsolescence of using dive tables is so acute that even Brett Gilliam has advocated doing away with diving tables altogether and just teaching students how to use a dive computer from their very first training dive.

Now THAT is cutting edge thinking! :)

And GUE has their Rule of 120 on EAN 32 which I believe goes something like this:

If depth is X feet, than allowable time at that depth = 120 - X minutes.

Welcome to the future. Now throw away your dive tables. Remember to recycle them in the plastics bin.
