that's because people usually killed a 'rattler' when ever they hear one..

in doing so they have unwittingly altered the gene pool to benefit those individual snakes who have the propensity to remain silent....

i don't have any problem with you teaching the lobster to be weary of people in the water.

if you only you could teach the lobster to stay away from the hoop-nets, you'd be doing everyone a tremendous service!
