We made a HUUUUGE leap, past $33,000. Yikes!!! (A good “Yikes.”)

We began with a big push from Susy Horowitz, starting us off with a $5,000 Platinum donation. Now the thing you need to know about Susy (for anyone who doesn’t already know her) is that she’s not only a longtime member of the Ch-Day Steering Committee, but she also signed up for FOUR of our Virtual Chamber Day Boats (she didn’t want to play favorites so signed up for the each one she dives regularly), and she grabbed a Ch-Eve seat at the virtual table of the California Science Center where she’s a volunteer diver. Whew!!! Now THAT’S dedication to the cause.

We also are pleased to welcome back another regular contributor, John Delaney. John normally gives $1,000 to the Challenge but this year is bumping it to $1,200 as a challenge to some of his friends to match his increased generosity. And that’s what the fun side of the Challenge is supposed to be all about. Yes, we need the funds. But also have some fun with it and once you’re made YOUR donation, use e-mail, FaceBook, Twitter, or whatever to let your friends know what you did and challenge them to do the same.

The last of our featured donations this go-round is a $500 Silver donation in memory of Tom Wetzel (also one of our Committee members) from his sister Patti. Patti’s not a diver but she knows how important our Chamber was to her brother and wants to make sure that both his memory and support live on.

Let’s keep going. We’re a record pace and it would be really nice to surpass last year’s record total for the Challenge. So who’s next??? Here’s where you make it all happen: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dp3rzL7cVCFp1rM .
