Dive Buddy Mark and I teamed up for a two tank dive out of Waterhorse Charters in Mission Bay to dive the Yukon. Given that it is July, I had my visibility prediction meter set on low and that proved to be the correct setting with one pleasant exception.

Surface conditions at the anchorage were ideal, almost no swell, no wind, nice sunshine, a beautiful day on top. Dropping down we were met with the green band. How green? Very, very, very green (see the link for a untouched photo). This band extended from the surface to 75', below 75' to the sand bottom at 94' there was a clear cold layer of great viz. This portion of the dive was definitely worth the hike, along with seeing the hovering schools of fish and the profuse Strawberry Anemones that coated the structure.
