Dear "Real Bug Hunter", You may be correct about male bugs and the amount of sperm produced. What about the females? It stands to reason that the larger surface area of bigger females would support more fertilized eggs. Over time I have taken plenty of over ten pound bugs in my over 40 years diving this coast. I don't take large bugs anymore. NIce legal bugs are fine for me. I don't have any ego involved in showing off some big dumb crustacean. I take bugs I want for a nice meal. Calling Captain Andy a sham is not only false but is also rude. By the way I guess I am a "fake bug hunter".
