Beautiful day on the water today. Headed out of Dana Point into 2000 feet of water to check for pelagic drifters. Top 70 feet had 80' vis, small crud layer with 20' vis, then clear again. Top layer mostly cyclosalpas, lots more variety down deep. Two critters that I'm not sure of, the tiny BB pellet sized 'disco ball' and the fuzzy looking thing just before it. I've seen these before. But I can't seem to find what they are.

Afterward off the the A.C.E. But, first a distraction of a group of blue whales. Probably 4 of them. One was a couple. These things are huge!! And, when they go to the bathroom you can smell it.

Great day, thanks to Cpt Jim and the Sly Foxx
