Leo wasn't the clearest place to dive this am. Probably less than 6
feet at the outter finger reef. The water was sort of stagnent,
even with the lite swell. Lot's of early classes preparing for
their dives when we entered the water. I'm sure they were
contributing to the general lack of decent vis. By the end of our
second dive, the beach and lower lot were packed with classes.

We use dives this time of year as recon for the upcoming opener.
Here at least, the outter reef shows a big population, but they
were either obvious shorts or just barely legal size. One
particular hole we regularly check was packed with 'em, but they
were all about an inch from being legal. Maybe in a year or two.

Greg got spooked by a small bat ray that darted from under him
as he cruised the sand doung frog kick drills about six inched
off the sand. He didn't get Irwined, but he said it spooked him
pretty good.

We had an early lunch at Neptune's Net. They must have changed
line cooks because the food has greatly improved since we were
last there. I had a great chowder with fish-n-chips.
