I would definately say it is a safer gas (as long as you play by the rules). If you are going to go deep, having some He in the mix allows you to be clear headed thus respond to probelms more effectively. I've had a fairly bad situation at beyond recreational depths and it would have been ugly if the team could not keep their heads together. Had we been on air it might have turned out differently.

I have done some of the Florida wrecks on air and since have gone back on trimix and can honestly say there is a difference. I now actually remember the hydro alantic now!! Even with a little He in there you really notice the difference.

I agree with Mike on this one GET THE PROPER TRAINING and go have fun!!
