I noticed that there is a big difference in return policies between different dive boat operators. For example Spectre refunds your money if cancellation is made 3 days before the trip (mid week trips) and 7 days before the trip (weekends).

For example sand dollar does not refund anything if the cancellation is made less than 30 days in advance.

Booking trips on Spectre gets pretty tempting considering this. While on vacation (total 6 weeks for us, yippee!)plans may change and Spectre´s policy leaves up with option of cancelling the trip.

The thing that holds me back at the moment is that I´ve never been on Spectre and I´ve never dived the northern islands. Of course I could cancell the rest of the trips if I dont like the firs one. I´ve done lots of diving on Bottom Scratcher and Great Escape in Catalina and southern islands.

How does Spectre & north differ from the above mentioned ships and locations?
