Normally a busy picture without a central subject is not a god idea. However the multitude of species in close proximity is what makes this picture interesting. The picture which was taken at Richardson Rock on the recent Sea Divers trip contains Purple Bryozoan (Disporella sp.), Bryozoan (Costazia costazi), Northern Staghorn Bryozoan (Heteropora pacifica), Moss Animal (Bugula californica), Southern Staghorn Bryozoan (Diaperoecia californica), a Blue Top Snail (Calliostoma ligatum) on Red encrusting sponge (Ophlitaspongia pennata), & Club-Tipped Anemones (Corynactis california).
