Let's all review. You wish to try out twin tanks or doubles because you want more bottom time. You dive deep. You sometimes go into deco and run your single tank down to 200 cubic foot or less. Right up front I'd say you need to take a no nonsense technical diving class. You need to learn when it's appropriate to dive double tanks and more importantly when it's not. You need to learn what goes into those tanks and why it's the best choice. You need to learn which configuration is appropriate and wwhich is n ot. You need to learn which type of diving suit is the smartest when you use certain types of twin tanks. You also need to make sure all of your affairs are in order with your wife, and this includes making sure your life insurance is paid up. It's the technical instructors who are still alive that are the best to learn from and not those whom have perished from their complacencies and mistakes. PS, make sure you have a deep availability on your platinum credit card.
