Is cold a problem for you? If so, a drysuit is the answer.

You may get chilly in a drysuit on the bottom but you're warm again as soon as you get back on the boat. I get progressively colder in a wetsuit throughout the day even when I try to dry it, put on a jacket, etc.

Each gear config has its place. It all depends on your goals, diving style, budget, and tolerance.

For most of us, a drysuit totally removes water temperature from the equation.
