The rationale is that travelling to the dive sites further out is more expensive so they charge the customers more to get there. When they don't/can't dive that area they go to closer sites and that seems to blow their justification.

Seems like gouging to me.

what I can't understand is they charge more to go to farnsworth. Its farther and the boat burns more fuel, whats fine. But when they go to the frontside shouldn't the charter price be lower ? I have had this happen on a trip to Cortez Bank and we only went to SBI. We asked Capt. Tim for the difference in price. He said no way, thats just how it goes. WTF
