Chris, and everybody else who cares or might otherwise know...

Is the SHOBA/LAND area that's closed including any distance off
shore? The designation map doesn't show any, but we've been there
before trying to dive off shore only to be requested to remain
anywhere from 300 to + yds off away from the island.

The schedule for today only shows SHOBA/LAND closed from 0000 to
0600 hrs. Most day boats don't arrive until shortly after 0600
hrs.

The SHOBA/BX area shows it closed from 1245 to 2300 hrs. This
includes most of the entire mid to East end.

Both closures show activity from the surface to 40k, so it looks
like they are planning on some aerials.

So, isn't is possible for the typical charter boat to hit at
least the island's East end from 0700 to 1245 hrs? That should
be plenty of time for a dive boat to make at least three dives
before leaving for home. Is looks like the backside is wide open
from Runway Kelp all the way down the island to there SHOBA/BX
starts.

As we all know from experience, just because the website says
that the island's area is open from xxxx to xxxx hrs doesn't
always mean they will be when you arrive. Almost always they
will further restrict the schedules than open them up at the last
minute.
