I had one of the best trips of my life in BC. I took the ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo. Once in Nanaimo, I rented a cheap car and drove North for about an hour and a half to Union Bay. The dive shop is called Union Bay Diving and ask for Sean the owner.
Sean took me in his boat to several spots, all teeming with life. I saw wolf eels on every dive, and even handled and fed some out in the open. I also did a really deep dive at a small island where six gill sharks congregate. Didn't see any, but it was still fun. Sean even filmed one of my dives and it came out great with Pacific Giant Octopi, wolf eels, and countless invertebrates and fish.
