How to deal with uninformed/untrained EMTS?

Same way as you should deal with untrained divers who play divemasters (but are not certified as such) on the internet -- AVOID THEM.

It makes a lot more sense to carry your DAN card with you, together with your C-card, and call the number on the DAN card, if you have any doubts about how to get hyperbaric treatment.

If you are unconscious, the "dog tags" are not going to help you.

If you are conscious, all you need to do is call DAN. And that would be preferred anyway, or so would most certified D/Ms and instructors tell you to do.

It is not rocket science.
